Illuminate Education is a market-leading Software as a Service (SaaS) student assessment and reporting platform used by K-12 administrators and educators to measure, analyze, and subsequently improve classroom and school-wide learning.
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing Illuminate software project development projects from beginning to end. Responsibilities include developing a project plan, communication plan, allocating tasks and setting milestones, and tracking the status of the project over time. This role will facilitate efficiency of product development by working within agile scrum teams, be the link to other stakeholders, and work with the program manager to ensure Illuminate technology projects are progressing as scheduled.
Work with Agile project teams to plan and implement projects.
Monitor and report on project progress and assess results of project.
Ensure that tasks are being completed and progressing against timeline.
Oversee multiple projects from beginning to end.
Ensure that all project deliverables are completed (i.e. requirements and wireframes, story points, etc.)
Participate in defining project scope, goals, timelines, and deliverables.
Support task definition and required resource allocation.
Provide partnership, facilitation, and support to the Agile team.
Identify and facilitate removal of roadblocks/dependencies the teams face.
Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project goals.
Organize cross-team communications.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
3+ years of hands-on project management experience.
PMP certification a plus, not required.
Familiarity with technical concepts of Agile software development lifecycle.
Excellent time and task management abilities.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Extremely detail-oriented; able to see the big picture.
Results driven, but flexible.
Ability to facilitate conversations, including challenging contexts.
Experience in EdTech a plus.
Experience using Atlassian products (Jira and Confluence) a plus.
