Mississippi Approves FastBridge as Universal Screener, Diagnostic Assessment and Dyslexia Screener

Illuminate Education’s FastBridge tool is the only platform approved within these categories

Illuminate Education, a leading K-12 student performance solution, today announced that the Mississippi State Board of Education has selected FastBridge as an approved Universal Screener and Diagnostic Assessment solution and Dyslexia Screener. FastBridge is the only platform meeting both state requirements.

“Many of our district partners in Mississippi were initially drawn to FastBridge because it offers progress monitoring and research-based interventions that are delivered one-on-one, by a teacher,” said Dr. Shawn Mahoney, Chief Product Officer and Chief Learning Officer at Illuminate. “FastBridge combines universal screening, skills analysis and progress monitoring, which means less time testing, and more time teaching.”

Using FastBridge, educators can screen for dyslexia, and reading, math, academic and social-emotional behavior skills, gaining insights such as:

  • Diagnostic information and “What now?” guidance
  • Whole group plans and interventions
  • Skill gap information about different groups of students
  • Guidance and interventions to fill those gaps

FastBridge is the only comprehensive assessment system utilizing both Computer-Adaptive Testing (CAT) and Curriculum-Based Measurement (CBM). The platform offers robust reporting features, identifying students who are at-risk and providing recommendations for timely, targeted supports.

District leaders interested in learning more about FastBridge are invited to attend an informational webinar. To register, send your district name and availability to sales@illuminateed.net. To learn more, click here.
